Cohesion Land Design was tasked with enhancing the professionally designed landscape to increase year-round interest, screen street views from the main residence, and introduce a modern Italian influence through structural plantings and design elements.
By preserving maturing shrubs and trees and structural plantings-including boxwood and yew hedges, evergreen topiary, and cut-flower species-the gardens instantly took on the character of an Italian estate.
Custom features integrated artistic elements into the landscape, including new address signage, stone artwork and planters, and a customized water feature, along with a dedicated setting for a statue cherished by the homeowners. The latest in outdoor lighting was introduced for ambience and appeal.
A blend of linear and spherical forms now reinforces the garden's Italianate character and provides year-round interest, while instantly transporting the homeowners to their favorite gardens of Italy.
